Devotion
Where do you turn today for guidance in living your life? Facebook? The Weather Channel? Magazine subscriptions?
As Christians, we have the gift of God’s word to guide us as we navigate the paths of our lives. God uses many mediums in which to instruct us, including the Bible, pastors and our elders. I have always loved to sit amongst my elders and listen to the stories of their lives, to the hardships and the joys they have experienced, to the testimonies of God’s provision and presence. On the other hand, I also find myself spiritually encouraged and challenged by many posts on Facebook. God shows us his ways and teaches us his paths and invites us to listen and to follow.
Prayer
Father, thank you for the many ways in which you instruct us and guide us in our daily lives. Help us to hear and follow you each day. Amen.
