Dokimazo event focuses on discernment
The 2012-13 academic year marks the launch of a new discernment event for prospective students at Luther Seminary. The new event, called Dokimazo, will be held twice annually, replacing and enhancing Ventures in Vocation and A Day in the Life.

Professor Emeritus Sheldon A. Tostengard, 1935-2012
Luther Seminary gives thanks to God for the life and witness of the Rev. Sheldon A. Tostengard. Tostengard, 76, of Roseville, Minn., died peacefully at home on April 29 following complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Eugene L. Fevold, 1918-2011
The Rev. Dr. Eugene L. Fevold, professor emeritus of church history, died Oct. 29, 2011. He was a highly respected research scholar and teacher, concerned with the use and collection of primary resources in the study of church history and conscious of his responsibility to the church as well as to his students and the seminary. He retired in 1988 as professor emeritus.
Roger and Jeanne Schwarze honor legacy of leadership
For Roger and Jeanne Schwarze, there wasn’t one person who impacted their faith walk. There were a multitude of saints lighting the way. Between the two of them, the names flow freely: Schmidt, Bethel, Klyve, Youngdahl, Frost, Preus.
