Devotion
The author of Psalm 93 declares that The Lord is king and he proceeds to ascribe all kinds of majesty to the Lord. He talks about God’s strength and how the Lord established the world. God has created all things and his creation is amazing. What is also amazing is that God has made us stewards, caretakers of this creation. We are entrusted with the care of the earth. Take a moment to observe the beauty that exists around you. Take some more moments to think of things you could do to be a better steward of the earth and its resources.
Prayer
O Lord, you are King. The world you have made is filled with majesty and beauty. Thank you for your creation and thank you for entrusting us with the care of it. Inspire us to be good stewards of the gifts you have given us. Move us to make changes in our lifestyles that are necessary to conserve energy, reduce pollution and take good care of all you have given us. Amen.
