Devotion
Do you know the "Song That Never Ends?" Kids sing it on busses returning from camp: "This is the song that never ends. It just goes on and on my friend ... somebody started singing it not knowing what it was; now we're all singing it together just because ..."
So it is with this hymn from the community at Iona. We plead that God will accept us where we are ... in the commute to work, at the computer, in the break room, on the phone, changing the diaper, through the staff meeting, on the sales call, as we greet loved ones ... that God will claim us and care for us and guide us throughout every moment of every day. And by the grace of God, this song does go on and on ... and God keeps singing right back to us.
Prayer
Take us, O creative, forgiving, cleansing and sending God ... take us as we are right now. As we live and work, as we check email and as we engage your creation. Take and make beautiful our hearts and lives in Jesus' name. Amen.
