Hallelujah! We Sing Your Praises, ELW 535

In just two short verses we sum up what worship means to us—it is the battery charger for the ministries we pursue, the energy for the daily lives we lead and the grounding of our hopes for the future. In the singing or voices are raised as one in praise of the Most High, and in the singing there is joy and undeniable energy.
At the table we are fed as our living Lord gives himself for us both once for all time and also again and again. As often as we come seeking him he is there, nourishing us with his word and witness. Then we are sent out from the table, newly healed and whole, nourished and strengthened, ready to bring the very same welcoming message into a world so unpracticed at receiving him, so unused to feeling the presence of God.
Prayer
Immanent God, we come and touch you in your body and your blood, and we are reminded that you are always with us. We depart from worship with hearts full of love and mouths filled with your praises. Give us the vision to see where our voices will be most needed, where our hearts might be most tenderly applied, where our efforts will sing praises again to your holy name. Amen.
