Devotion
Have you ever felt like you were in something by yourself? It is very nice to know that someone is always there for you. When we were little, that role may have been filled by our parents, or those who looked after us on a daily basis. We could never stray too far from what was expected of us before they would step in and set us straight. That is how it is with God. God is always there. God has been present from the very beginning and will be there for us until the very end. We don’t always know the “how’s” and “why’s” of what God is doing, but we are assured that God is and has always been there for us. Job shows us that whatever we do, and wherever we may go, we are never too far away to be reached by God!
Prayer
God of Creation, continue to be there for us as you have promised. Guide us to do what you have called us to do. Amen.
