Praise God, from Whom All Blessing Flow (Evangelical Lutheran Worship 884)
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
praise him, all creatures here below;
praise him above, ye heav’nly host;
praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Devotion
I love teaching little children the “Praise God Song” so that this song will be there in the heart when needed.
Not long ago something very troubling to me occurred at the high school in town. A prayer meeting was held at the school, with many attending. At the conclusion, a pastor was asked to lead the group in a praise song. For a moment he was stumped. The look on his face showed that he was trying to come up with something. Then someone started singing “Praise God from whom all blessings flow…”. And soon, almost all in the crowd were singing. These words were in their hearts and were there to come out when needed.
No one is too young or too old, too sinful or too saintly, to join in praising the Lord God Almighty. Sing praise to God, for the God we praise is faithful and can be trusted.
Prayer
Most holy and loving God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit: fill my heart with faith, and my lips will declare your praise. Amen.
