Devotion
O sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Today’s psalm calls us out of the old and into the new: Sing a new song unto the LORD and let the heavens and the earth, the trees and the seas all join in. Leave behind the old songs with their dusty lyrics that lead to sin and death — dirges that speak only of "me" and "I" and my wants and cravings.
Sing new songs that declare God’s glory and marvelous works. Sing the new song that began at the cross of Christ and that now pours out of the empty tomb. Sing songs of forgiveness, hope and eternal life.
Rejoice that you have been raised up, made new in Christ and set free to raise your voice to the Lord.
