Congregation Description:We are an open-field country church with a passion for ministry. We keep in regular contact with our rural neighborhood and routinely invite the community around us into activities and worship. We have one worship service at 10:30 am and Sunday school at 9:15 am. Our congregation is profoundly relational and engaged. We recently completed a mission and vision process which yielded a mission statement, a set of values and identified areas for potential growth. We have completed major renovations to our building over the last 8 years (all completed without the use of loans), bringing in an average of 1/3 of our budget in extra giving during these years. Our giving to the Synod has doubled in the last decade and our budget has increased by over 50%. In conjunction with another local congregation, we are planning and fundraising for a mission trip to the Baja Mexico Region, where we will visit an orphanage and build a school in October of 2014. The congregation is currently focused on the above mission, in addition to the remodeling of our kitchen and a revitalization process for our current educational program on Sunday mornings.

Autobiography:I am a pastor deeply interested in congregational renewal and the development of vital congregations. I current serve in a small rural congregation and have been deeply involved in Synodical leadership in my tenure in this call. This past Spring I was nominated as a candidate for Bishop of Southeastern MN and received the third highest vote total in the election. I value my colleagues greatly, have attended the Festival of Homiletics for the past two years and read the New York Times daily. I am married and have three children; my husband is a business owner in our community and my kids are 13, 9, and 3. Its a full life! I love music, conversation and keeping up with friends. As a family, we snow ski in the winter and are out on the water on our boat in the summer.
