Devotion
God is here! Just think of the implications of this confession of faith. God is not far off but very near, incarnated in Jesus Christ, whose life we now share. We live in a desperate world full of unbelief and uncertainties. Yet when we gather together we are welcomed, comforted and strengthened by God’s grace. In word and sacrament, in singing and sharing, we are fed and nourished to live as God’s people.
Everything is different now. Everything has changed for us because of the cross of Jesus. And out we go to meet the world again, hopeful because God has not given up on us.
Prayer
Lord of all things, change is all about us. In our fears let us hear your life-giving Word, and give us courage to live in your will. We try, yet cannot live without you. By the power of your Holy Spirit, help us to believe and trust in you each new day. For Jesus’ sake, Amen.
