Prepare to lead
The goal of Luther Seminary’s Master of Divinity program is that our students are prepared to serve as missional pastors in the church, leading Christians in lives of witness and service. In addition to being persons of faith and good character who are grounded firmly in the message of the Bible and the insights of Christian history, theology and ethics, students will become known for excellence as preachers of the biblical message, leaders in worship and servant leaders.
We are excited that you are thinking about pursuing your call to be a leader in a Christian community. In addition to applying to Luther Seminary, M.Div. students are required to go through a candidacy process, according to the church body in which they are preparing to serve. The Contextual Learning Office can help you navigate this process.
