Devotion
There are many forms of light: flashlight, electric light, halogen light. But the clearest form of light is the sun. There are many forms of love: motherly love, affection, romantic love. But the clearest form of love is Jesus, the Son of God, sent by the Father into the world. The clearer we are about that, the purer will be our loves. Love comes as a guest. We receive it. We reflect it. It starts elsewhere.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, reveal yourself to us more and more. Burn away our impure loves so that we may love as you love. Amen.
