Congregation Description:We share our Children and Youth ministies with Our Saviours Lutheran Church and Calvary Lutheran Church, both located on Chicago Ave.

We share our building with the Bancroft Neighborhood Association, Nokomis Healthy Seniors, Casa de Orecion, and Casa de Orecion Minnesota. We also have many, many organizations who meet at Bethel regularly (several 12-step groups, art groups, scout leadership groups, and the like).

We are growing in membership and our outreach is catching people's attention.

We have a Little Free Library that is very popular with our neighbors.

Our worship services are mostly mixed and our music ministry is growing.

When we say all are welcome, we really, really mean it!

We have two leadership boards ... one concentrates on the money and property, while the other concentrates of mission and ministry.

We are located on an entire city block and we love to share our property and our building. The gardening around our building is fantastic and led by a volunteer master gardener.

Recently there has been some grass roots talk about putting a labyrinth on the west side of our property for neighborhood use.

We moved to rotation sunday school seven years ago and are having a great time.

We are blessed to be a blessing.

Autobiography:Pastor B has acted as pastor (minus presideing over baptism and communion) for eight years while she waited for the policies of the ELCA to change and allow her to seek a call in the ELCA. She served as our Director of Children, Youth and Family minister for 5 years, and is now our pastor. She loves being a pastor and it shows each day. She has plenty of experiences and ideas to share with a student and looks forward to working with someone interested in the radical hospitality of the Good News of Jesus Christ. She is currently listening to the Game of Thrones series of books, and enjoys hosting dinner parties and fishing. She serves as president of her homeowner associaion and shares her home with her wife, Mary, and her cat, Scooter.
