Access to Public Transit:We are in the middle of a neighborhod. The street we are located on is a city bus line.
Congregation Description:We are a urban/suburban congregation. The old established neighborhood is slowly changing into a first time buyers market and their is some different ethnis groups moving in. We have three weekly worship services: Sunday morning 8:30 traditional and 11:00 contemporary; and a Wednesday evening "Come as you Are". We have Sunday School, Wednesday children's programming, confirmation, VBS, summer daycamps, Youth programming, adult Bible Studies and Small Groups. We are a pantry site once a month and are involved in a number of community ministries. Besides the general decline of church membership and participation that is happening throught he church, there are no major challenges facing Holy Cross at this time.

Autobiography:I am married to Deb for 28 years. I have two sons who have both graduated from college. I graduated with a BA degree from Midland Lutheran College in 1885 with a major in Philosophy and Religion. I graduated with a MDiv. degree fromTrinity Lutheran Seminary in 1990. I served five years as solo pastor of Martin Luther Church in Johnson, NE. I then served 10 years as Pastor of Congregational Life at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Omaha, Ne. For the past eight years I have served as ther Sr. Pastor at Holy Cross in Omaha. My readikng list is varied. I enjoy history and historical fiction. I read theological and biblical works with an enphasis on the historical Jesus. I attend a weekly text study and participate in at least one full week of continuing education each year. I am involved in Omaha's Lutheran campus ministry.
