Congregation Description:We are situated between two residential neighborhoods on a major connecting road to downtown. 11,500 cars pass us each day (both directions). The community is a mix of all ages, primarily middle to lower middle class.
We have just moved from two to a single Sunday morning worship service, with approximately 100 in attendance. We enjoy excellent music of various styles. We offer Sunday School, a one-room school house approach, adult education on Sundays and during the week, confirmation and youth activities weekly, as well as service organizations within the congregation.
We are involved with the Union Gospel Mission, CHUM (Churches United in Ministry), Homeless ministry, creation care initiatives and awareness.
Currently, a major transition is the change in worship schedule. We are also putting a new roof on the building ($100,000) during a time when we are facing a significant budget deficit.
We have a thorough and significant stewardship emphasis in place for October and November.
