Devotion
“Then Jesus began to say to them, ‘Beware that no one leads you astray.’” (Mark 13:5)
Some choices in our lives are inconsequential. Of course, most are not.
From the time I was a young girl, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. My paternal grandmother, a third-grade teacher, sometimes, even allowed me to grade papers with her! During my junior year of High School, my counselor, knowing that I was a strong math student, suggested that I consider becoming a High School math teacher, though some of my friends and family were concerned about me breaking the “glass” ceiling of becoming a female math teacher
I graduated in August 1978 with a Math Education degree and loved being a math teacher! I am thankful that I did not let naysayers lead me astray. God, through the words of my counselor, planted a seed long ago and guided me to the places I needed to be.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for gifting me with skills that allowed me to teach others. Amen.
