Enrolling in a seminary program is a big commitment of time, talent and resources. Luther Seminary offers a variety of programs to fit almost any budget, with options for financial aid such as scholarships, grants and loans. And, with our online learning options, you can complete your degree without relocating.

Here are the approximate costs for the school year 2015-2016:

  • Tuition: $16,500 annually for full-time M.Div. study
  • Tuition, living expenses and books: $36,890* annually for full-time study

About 30 percent of seminary students graduate without debt. For the 2013-2014 school year, $2.8 million in financial aid was awarded, which covered approximately 54 percent of tuition. Luther Seminary is committed to raising funds to help reduce student debt through scholarship fundraising, local congregational assistance, synod partnerships and working with the ELCA Fund for Leaders.
